1229 Shine – Myrtle Beach, SC

Gluten Free Shines at 1229 Shine

At 1229 Shine, a coastal inspired eatery at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, the gluten free options are both numerous and delicious! To start off, their bang bang grouper bites are a crispy, tasty appetizer that would be perfect with one of their craft cocktails at happy hour. Other favorite appetizers are the New Zealand green mussels served with French cocktail sauce and the tuna crudo including sliced tuna, red radish, cilantro, truffle oil, crispy capers, lemon and sea salt.

But the real find is the Shine Burger, two juicy burgers with American cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato, griddled onion, and their own house sauce, all on a gluten free bun and including fries. They also serve up a buttermilk brined fried chicken sandwich and bang bang grouper sandwich with housemade slaw that are delectable.

I was just in Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago…wish I had come across the 1223 Shine while there. Traveling/eating out can be very difficult for those of us that are gluten-free but it’s so nice to see more and more restaurants adding GF items to their menu.
